Playschool (Age 2.6 - 3.5 yrs)
When children move into the playschool room they experience a more structured environment. This is an age when children begin to play together. Vocabulary increases and sentences are formed rather than just words. We base our education and play sessions on the High Scope method of play and education.
The curriculum and daily activities are designed to include a wide variety of tabletop activities to promote fine and gross motor skills, hand / eye co-ordination and basic numerical and literacy skills and role play, painting/colouring and songs / story circle time feature daily. The children will enjoy free play in the home corner and other areas of interest in the class room. Outdoor play is extremely important to us all year round.
