Naíonra (Age 3.5 – 5 yrs)

At Kidology ‘as Gaeilge’, we encourage children to acquire the Irish Language naturally through stimulating play and hands-on learning techniques basing instruction on the child’s unique nature in an environment rich in sensory experiences.

Children are fully immersed in the Irish language with Irish being the language of learning for the entire curriculum. We believe that when you get the basics right, everything else will follow. That’s why education is at the heart of everything we do. Children have the freedom to ‘explore the world around them’ and are introduced to the fundamental practical life skills, sensorial skills, language skills (reading & writing) basic mathematical and culture (geography/science) in a fun and motivating way.

In line with Aistear (the early childhood curriculum) we help develop each child’s social skills through creating interactive experiences. Each child experiences equality and diversity in the setting through the different activities we implement such as dress up, creative arts & crafts, dancing and more.

We prepare the children for the Gailscoil by introducing them to numbers, colours and letters and nurturing them to become independent children all through the medium of the Irish language.

The Naíonra is eligible for the ECCE Scheme which entitles all children to a FREE Pre-school year prior to starting ‘Big School’.

We can offer a limited number of places, subject to availability, to children whom may younger that the age permitted for the ECCE scheme.
